Lamelle Research Laboratories is a biotechnology research company that manufactures products locally for the South African market. With a special interest in cosmetic dermatology, all products that are developed follow a rigorous programme of review, research and meticulous production.
Lamelle Research Laboratories was the first to launch Nobel Prize winning nano-capsulated Recombinant Human Growth Factors 100% homologues to human protein in South Africa, which has proven to be popular with doctors and therapist due to its results for anti-ageing under the brand Dermaheal. This is one of many firsts for Lamelle including Ovelle, the first oral supplement for hormonal pigmentation / melasma.

Some of our Lamelle Product Ranges
The Nourish Range
The Nourish range is a revolutionary anti-ageing skin care program from Lamelle Research Laboratories which offers both DNA damage PREVENTION and REPAIR.Nourish offers multi-faceted skincare formulas which provide intensive doses of anti-ageing benefits to the skin reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and protecting the skin from environmental insults which include UV damage resulting in indirect oxidative DNA alteration
Taking into consideration the signs of premature and normal ageing, Lamelle Research Laboratories set out to create the most powerful age correcting skin care range on the market. The Dermaheal Range has been crafted using concentrations of Nobel Prize winning Growth Factors and offers the ultimate in anti-ageing and laser-free skin remodelling. As we age, our cell turnover becomes sluggish and new cell production decreases by over 50%.
Lamelle Research Laboratories has incorporated specialised ingredients into The Clarity Range to address the four primary factors associated with acne: 1. Overproduction of oil in the skin (sebum), under the influence of hormones. 2. This, along with the insufficient shedding of exfoliated dead skin cells, blocks follicles. 3. The blocked follicle can become inflamed and an increase in the growth of bacteria. 4. The inflammation in the follicle due to the increase in bacteria results in the rupture of the follicle wall. This inflammation extends into lower layers of the skin causing an acne lesion.
Luminesce addresses hyperpigmentation by reducing melanin production at several points in its production as opposed to just one path. Using a unique blend of 15 different depigmentation agents, the Luminesce system inhibits pigmentation production before, during and after melanin synthesis. Luminesce offers brilliant results in combating epidermal hyperpigmentation, and the combination of the peptides used in Luminesce will also stimulate fibroblast activity to provide an anti-ageing solution to the skin.
Serra is the FIRST skincare range that enables the skin to truly repair by duplicating and replicating the skin’s own natural behaviour. Using patented technology, Serra moisturisers create a multiple lipid layered structure similar to normal human skin. Instead of creating a single layer of moisture on the surface of your skin like conventional moisturisers, Serra actually recreates the human skin barrier – essentially replacing what is missing and eliminating the root cause of dry skin.
A Corrective can be seen as a boosting agent – used for a period of time when your skin needs some extra help, for example, after a holiday in the sun, when you might have some hyper-pigmentation and dryness. Correctives are usually used for about four to eight weeks in the case of hyper-pigmentation, but the time period will differ from one concern (such as sensitivity) to another (such as acne). basically, you’ll use the serum for as long as your skin problem lasts.
